Mindful Medicine on the Go (Online)

Join us Wednesday evenings from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m. (PST) for a course designed especially for healthcare providers and medical mental health professionals. Physician assistants, nurses, and nurse practitioners are encouraged to attend. 

A pediatrician for almost 40 years, author of Mindfulness on the Go and Mindful Eating on the Go, and well-known Zen teacher, Dr. Jan Chozen Bays will introduce weekly mindfulness exercises especially tailored to the busy life of a clinician. These exercises can be done anywhere, and can add the spice of curiosity, investigation, and discovery into every “ordinary” day. 

Co-facilitated by Denise Gour, LCSW, certified by the UC San Diego Center for Mindfulness as a teacher of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). As a therapist and teacher, Denise brings over 25 years of experience helping adults, families, and medical providers to reduce stress and navigate adversity with more self-compassion and ease.

In this course, you will learn to:

  • Reduce your stress at work and home
  • Sleep better
  • Enjoy your practice and your patients more
  • Rekindle your reasons for choosing a career in medicine
  • Meet and share experiences with fellow medical colleagues

**NEW** Drop-In Mindful Self-Compassion (Online)

Join us for everyday practices for mindful self-compassion, the third Wednesday of each month, beginning January 20, 2021, for a guided practice from 6:30 – 7:30 PM (PST) led by Jill Goldsmith, a Trained Mindful Self-Compassion Teacher in the program developed by Christopher Germer, PhD and Kristin Neff, PhD.
