Weekly Virtual Class: Mindful Medicine on the Go

 

Mindful Medicine on the Go is a weekly virtual class designed especially for healthcare providers and medical mental health professionals. Physician assistants, nurses, and nurse practitioners are encouraged to attend!

Each week our facilitators introduce weekly mindfulness exercises especially tailored to the busy life of a clinician. These exercises can be done anywhere, and can add the spice of curiosity, investigation, and discovery into every “ordinary” day.

  • Reduce your stress at work and home
  • Sleep better
  • Enjoy your practice and your patients more
  • Rekindle your reasons for choosing a career in medicine
  • Meet and share experiences with fellow medical colleagues

 

Our Facilitators:

Dr. Jan Chozen Bays is the author of Mindfulness on the Go and Mindful Eating on the Go. She is a well-known Zen teacher, and a pediatrician for almost 40 years.

Denise Gour, LCSW, co-facilitator, teaches Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and is certified by the UC San Diego Center for Mindfulness. Denise brings over 25 years of experience helping adults, families, and medical providers to reduce stress and navigate adversity with more self-compassion and ease.

 

Join Us Each Week:

Our classes are held each Wednesday evening from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m. (PST). Join our mailing list to gain access to each week’s virtual link (through Zoom).

Our Facilitator:

Our monthly mindfulness class is led by Jill Goldsmith. Jill is a trained teacher in Mindful Self-Compassion, a program developed by Christopher Germer, PhD and Kristin Neff, PhD.

 

 

 

Join Us Each Month:

Our guided classes are held the third Wednesday of each month from 6:30 – 7:30 PM (PST). Join our mailing list to gain access to the virtual link (through Zoom).

These classes are personalized for your group and brought on location. Classes can be tailored to fit your needs:

  • One Hour Introductory Taste of Mindfulness and Stress Reduction
  • Half-Day Intro to Mindfulness (4 hour day)
  • One-Day Intro to Mindfulness (7 hour day)
