Customized to Fit Your Groups’ Needs

Class Overview

Our in-person personalized group classes are tailored to meet your specific needs. Groups can select which topic they want to focus on during the class, including:

  • Reducing and preventing job burnout
  • Building self-compassion
  • Learning various mindfulness practices
  • Addressing any specific issues facing your group

Groups can also choose the length of their class, selecting from one hour, half day (4 hours), or full-day (7 hours) sessions.

Class Facilitators

Denise Gour, a licensed clinical social worker, teaches Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and is certified by the UC San Diego Center for Mindfulness. Denise brings over 25 years of experience teaching ways to navigate adversity with more self-compassion and ease.

Laura Martin is also a licensed clinical social worker and a certified teacher of MBSR. She has been teaching mindfulness since 2002, has worked as a clinical social worker in mental health, and currently maintains a private practice.

What's Included

All classes, regardless of length, include common elements:

  • Tailored instruction based on your groups selected topic
  • Formal and informal mindfulness practices that can be used immediately
  • Resource materials to take home for further practice

The depth and breadth of your selected topic depends on the length of the class.

Class material is taught in greater depth when longer sessions are chosen. Longer sessions additionally include instruction on mindful eating and the opportunity to practice using participants’ favorite foods. 

Mats and cushions are provided for the full-day session, in groups of 15 or less.
